POSITION SUMMARY:
Red E Charging is seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee and drive the execution of Red E Network sites in the conceptual and development project phases. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for interfacing with both internal and external engineering, utility, site owner/investor and construction resources to ensure successful and high-quality project completion within set deadlines. As a key part of the Red E Charging team, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for working with the Operations Team to develop and ensure consistent execution of projects. The ideal candidate will have real-world EV experience, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. The position will involve working with projects across the United States, Canada & Mexico.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with other members of Red E Charging team including Chief Operating Officer, President of Red E Enterprise, and Business Development Team to deliver turnkey projects for the Red E Network
Produce scope of work and track project deadlines and deliverables from engineering partners and utility providers (e.g., site surveys, site design, power requirements, utility upgrades, etc.)
Provide thorough reporting on multiple projects in the development, power upgrade, and installation pipeline
Track and manage hardware pipeline, inventory / warehousing and coordination
Participate in the review process for new technology evaluations for integration into current or future projects
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Supply technical guidance and support to team members and external partners on charging infrastructure design, installation, and maintenance
Manage project risks and develop contingency plans as needed
Perform cost analysis to optimize investments and operations
Other relevant tasks within Red E Charging to improve products or operations
General support and advisory to Red E in developing the EV Charging business
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Real world EV experience and understanding of the North American and global EV charging industry and technologies
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
An organized and results-oriented way of working
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field or equivalent skills and experience
3-5 years experience as a project or construction manager
Ability to prioritize and work effectively within stated timeframes and deadlines
Utility, Renewables (commercial solar, energy storage), High Voltage Engineering Industry Experience is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Resides in or willing to relocate to Detroit, MI (can be discussed)
The will and motivation to take part in building a new business in a fast-moving environment
Ability for some traveling, domestic and international
